About Law Camp Program
Our Mission
At Law Camp Program, we strive to inspire future legal minds. Our mission is to provide an engaging and educational environment for aspiring law students.
LAW CAMP is an intensive program designed to enhance interest in the study of law that may lead to careers in the legal profession. The program provides instruction and classes that are actually taught in law school.
The camp will illustrate what studying law can mean to any person interested in the profession. Students who have an interest in considering a law school education are encourage to apply.
In addition to teaching actual law school classes, the summer session will include a session devoted to attending a trial, visit with a trial judge in chambers, and holding discussions with a judge.
The LAW CAMP program will provide prepared folders for each subject. The courses taught are Civil Procedure, Constitution Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Last Wills and Testaments, Legal Research and Writing, plus Tort Law.
The LAW CAMP program schedules several weekend sessions. The sessions are held to provide an opportunity for person from different regions of the United States to participate in the program. A special one - week summer session is also held either in London, England or Honolulu, Hawaii in alternating years.
The LAW CAMP does not guarantee admittance to law school. However, the Law Camp Director and Instructors may write recommendations and act as references for students applying to law schools of their choice.
The LAW CAMP program was established in 1992. The programs instructors are law school gradates who hold Juris Doctor Degrees from various law school in the United States.
